Not sure if this will be of help.

This is a link to The National Collection of Aerial Photography.

The link below should take you to an image of a busy Ferryhill shed taken in 1947.

To zoom in on this image you, unfortunately have to buy a site subscription but it does contain hundereds of fascinating images.

  • 3 months later...

The National Archives of Scotland provided me with a photocopy of the old Dundee West Station track plans for my research. I live in London and they were more than happy to get it copied and posted to me within a couple of weeks.

I did have to go through a lot of the entries in the register to identify the correct one to order though.

Hope this of help

  • RMweb Premium

Britain from above has a couple of views which have Ferryhill on the edges.

Try this link: http://www.britainfromabove.org.uk/image/saw016826

Should give you access to another couple taken at the same time. If you register on tghe site, the photos are zoomable (and its free)

No connection etc, just a satisfied user.

Regards

Ian
