Igor
Hello I've not seen this mentioned anywhere, but I am reliably informed that the traditional Bachmann new catalogue launch (usually March), and with it any new product announcements, has been postponed to late summer this year to allow it to be combined with a 25th anniversary event. Could this be at the same time as the open day (July)?. This will allow an extra 5 months of catch-up? Info might have come from the new collector's newsletter - can this be confirmed. As an interesting follow-up can anyone provide a simple list of all the previously announced items that haven't seen the light of day yet? I for one, cannot keep track... Ozexpatriate
Igor, can you change your title to something like "new release announcement date" so people don't start frothing and this thread gets closed. Either way, we probably won't know for a while. Even March is still four months out. All in good time.
Paul.Uni
Yep, it is confirmed the club magazine.

I am sure I put in a sub-heading about the date to avoid that very problem. This should delay frothing until May at least you would think. Andy Y
The change in announcement date doesn't actually relate to any 'catch-up' as work is proceeding as normal anyway (on already announced and yet to be announced items) but it's to tie-in the anniversary events. It's a one-off as it's anticipated that in 2015 the catalogue date will revert to the spring.
RMweb Gold Phil Bullock Posted December 2, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 2, 2013 Thanks Andy That will mean a much condensed delivery window - will be interesting to see programme Phil
G-BOAF
Thanks Andy That will mean a much condensed delivery window - will be interesting to see programme Phil It shouldn't do. If there had been a March announcement, there is already much in the pipeline that is due off before then, so we'd be unlikely to see any 2014/15 items before July. What it might mean is that there's a new announcement ready to do on the launch day. That still gives 8 months before the 2015/16 announcements. Will it be at its normal time or will you delay it until after we see what Bachmann announce in Summer ? .

RMweb Gold BMacdermott Posted December 3, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 3, 2013 Hello Phil The Poll Team is ‘in hibernation’ until the Hornby announcements. From then, we have a pre-arranged programme to review the content and schedule for The 2014 Poll. You will understand, therefore, that it is far too early to give you any comment – but rest assured that you will be getting the best poll you have ever had. We will post a ‘Q&A’ page sometime in the early part of the New Year. Finally, just a note to explain how things work…. The Poll Team creates the text and content and liaises with Andy and Phil Parker (MREmag) on schedules. Andy then works on the computerised aspects from our text to the agreed schedule. Neither he nor Phil have any direct input or what might be called ‘influence’ on the content of The Poll (other than in their private capacities as members of the modelling community). If you have any queries, you are welcome to contact us: thepollteam@gmail.com Brian (on behalf of The Poll Team)
frobisher
Hi Brian, If I could make one suggestion for next year's poll it would be to add a "If I could have just one thing, and one thing only from my wishlist what would it be?" question for each gauge. I think you'll get a lot of very interesting feedback from that. And good luck
