So did you get what you wanted or something unexpected?

So far I have received a model rowing boat, unexpected but something that I need for Coombe viaduct, and the thought behind it was great :-)

Wanted - 3 Bachmann weathered 16t mineral wagons and 6 Peco buffer stops. Excellent !

Unexpected - a Cyberman (Doctor Who) tee shirt, and a  book on Brtish steam locos. Cool !

Strange - A rather ugly snow dome on a pedestal that lights up and blows snow around a silver Santa Claus figure climbing down a chimney. Um, not sure about this ! I guess that the thought counts...

Cheers, Gary.

Unwrapped a Bachmann 4f (Fowler tender), Thomas Moy ex PO wagon and branch lines around Wisbech by Andrew Ingram. Bit of a theme going on methinks. I order my own presents from the wife!

Fleece's and sweets from the kids. Only one CD so far but have money from the mother in law to stock up but need new cabinet to store them in.

My 10yr-old daughter got a Gaugemaster 4 track controller and I got a lifelike hairstyling head. Should have seen her face until she realised there had been a gift-wrap mix up... Come to think of it, should have seen my face too... Merry Christmas all.

Expected: Nothing wanted this year apart from family day

Unexpected: Paul Atterbuys Lost Branchlines, which is really good and a lot of inspiration in there..

A bottle of Edradour, yummy, a Swiss Army Knife, the one with thing for taking stones out of horses hooves.

Choccys handed round and Wallance and Gromit mug from my niece.

Early: A set of green Bulleids (2x BSK(SO), SK, CK, SO) and a Dapol CCT in their version of BR(SR) Green (see pictures elsewhere) :)

On the day: 'The Best of Dave Allen' and 'Complete Blackadder Remastered' DVDs from my daughter, a nice thick woolly jumper (from the wife - she obviously appreciates how cold it may get in the garage where the layout is...)

Unexpected: My son turned up with a couple more Bulleids (BTK(SO), CK) in Blood and Custard (pictures to come...)
