steve fay
Hi my Grandad spent his life working on the railways firstly as a cleaner then fireman before transferring to the PW he used to operate the track panel cranes as seen in the above pictures. I took these pictures off his commemorative framed picture that was presented to him after his retirement. I would be great full if any one could ID the wagons as I would like to have either one scratch built in 7mm as a tribute to him as he always kept my interest in railways going as a kid. hmrspaul
Steve The lower one is a TRM, this, or something very like it http://PaulBartlett.zenfolio.com/brtwinjibcrane/e16f037a8 http://PaulBartlett.zenfolio.com/brtwinjibcrane/e13d573b4 http://PaulBartlett.zenfolio.com/brtwinjibcrane/e3009af2 The upper one is also a TRM, there were several of these such as http://PaulBartlett.zenfolio.com/brtwinjibcrane/e1da1edfc http://PaulBartlett.zenfolio.com/brtwinjibcrane/e132dbf70 http://PaulBartlett.zenfolio.com/brtwinjibcrane/e7d67e60 Paul

Trog
The F10 sleepers in the top picture were produced new for just a couple of years before and after 1960 if that is of any interest.
RMweb Gold 96701 Posted December 31, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 31, 2013 The top one could possibly be self propelled, although it is unlikely that it was because most of the Twin Jib Cranes lacked drive mechanisms. I have a feeling that the first ones might have been the Plasser and Cowans Sheldon (aka Clarke Chapman) TJCs. The bottom one is definitely not self propelled.
