Tidying up and initial primering under way

and finally, Princess Louise (The 2nd donor) arrived!

Managed to disassemble the valve gear - I had the gear from the donor king, but it was rather old and undetailed, so acquired some better/newer sets from abbigails Hornby spares.

Then assembled the various components from the king (cab, chimney, top feed, door, and the King steam pipes)

and more detail, followed by plugging the gaps with miliput

Then in for paint - a lot of this will require sanding back

The King front bogie needed the retaining tab sawing off and a hole for the mounting screw fitting. The second axle's wheels were also a bit 1980s and bleurgh, so replaced it with a 9F wheelset also from hornbyspares.
