On a private visit to the B&W Rly yesterday, We were allowed a peek inside the engine shed and I took a few snaps in the gloom of 30120 and 3298

 

Some interesting and useful smokebox weathering patterns were evident.

Hi Rory

 

As the 6 engine headsignal disc positions gave 33 combinations the same combination was used at different locations across the network where geographically they would not conflict.

 

The Headsignal shown of both middle / smokebox positions was also the route for Exeter to Padstow so most appropriate for a T9 in Devon / Cornwall
