fender
Like many people (I suspect), I have built up an impressive pile of alternative van ends and doors from Parkside kits. I have noted that Mainly Trains do an etch for the metal parts for wagon bodies. Does anyone do a similar thing for your average BR diag 1/208 van? building one with plywood sides would be relatively easy with such etched parts, or would I have to scratch-build them? thanks
Ben Alder
Don't know, but Parkside are very obliging in supplying spare sprues from their kits, which might be a way forward.
Southernman46
I cut down van ends to make the ends for these: http://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/dace/h1ccd707a#h1ccd707a and scratch the rest of the body work mounted on an extended Red Panda 8-shoe chassis
