switch/turnout throw/movement distance

Thanks: Undecided about leaving spring in.  I would think that better contact with running rails would be maintained with over-centre spring left in place.  Will need to test of it is too strong for standard wire-in-tube method.  Anyone with experience???

The over centre spring is essential to keep the connectivity between moving rail and fixed rail.  I have tried peco points without the over centre springs and it is very difficult to stop stock  splitting the points.  I would leave plenty of slop in the linkage so the spring closes the rail rather than the wire pushing.
