RMweb Premium Mallard60022 Posted June 14, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 14, 2014 Southbound at Gamston Bank at approximately 17.45 today. Bulleid Pacific's chattering exhaust resounds around Gamston Eaton Crossing. Very nice indeed. P

RMweb Gold PhilH Posted June 15, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 15, 2014 It was supposed to have been A4 4464 Bittern on this trip but that was sidelined due to injector problems. We bought the thing down from Leeming Bar to Southall last Monday and had a right mare with the exhaust injector which was unable to be fixed it in time for this run. Coldgunner
It was a shame as I was expecting a day of A4's too! I also filmed 60009 that same day passing Werrington.

Were you on the crew at the Retford stop then cause I would have spoken to you if you were? Phil

Phil I was on footplate from Leeming Bar down to the first water stop at some loop or the other (Connington or some such), anyway somewhere south of Doncaster, then another member of the support crew got up and I retired to the support coach for some kip. BrushVeteran
Yes we were rather spoilt yesterday......but not quite as spoilt as York as they also had a Duchess of course ! Phil I thought I was very spoilt yesterday as I enjoyed a nice pint of Dancing Dragonfly at the Great Northern Inn at Carlton on Trent and toasted 60009 heading north at a good turn of speed. Totally unexpected on both counts. It made the round trip to Barnsley from Oxford with a load of bus wheels all the more enjoyable!

Connington Loop is south of Peterborough. Well I think you might have remembered the stop at Retford just after the rainstorm, so maybe you were having a kip. I didn't really look in the support coach but I was given a quick view of the corridor tender and a short chat on the footplate; not a lot of room on there with crew and Inspector is there? Hope the injector gets sorted. Phil
