SR POA Wagons correct colour

I don't know the name/shade, but I believe the blue is the same as that used by Barclays Bank at the time, as SR was part owned by them.

I think Railease, who operated the POA fleet, and some other wagons, was a joint venture between Standard Wagon and Barclays, with Standard providing the wagons and maintaining them, and Barclays financing the project.

Many of the UKF bogie fertiliser wagon fleet operated under similar arrangements, though the bank in this case was Lloyds and Scottish, whilst the aviation world had companies like 'Guinness Peat'. I would say that financing things like this is part of a bank's functions (most originally dealt in things like this long before going into the High Street), which is more than can be said for some of the arcane forms of barely-disguised gambling they have dabbled in more recently.
