EngineBoy14
Hi, I am researching for the least-invasive method of fitting Kadee couplings to my Heljan locos and coaches. So far I have seen a good photograph of the underside of a coach fitted with Kadee but the coach had to be modified by cutting which I don't want. The method was posted several years ago and I want to revisit this topic in the light of any new methods. I particularly want to know how Kadee #806 were fitted to the Mk1 coaches, I also want to know how Kadee are fitted to locos. I have a BRCW Type 2 and an EE Type 3. These products are just too valuable to hack about and I'm mystified as to why the manufacturers do not fit both Kadee and screw-couplings (cost? - I don't mind paying extra) like the prototypes I saw being refurbished when a young clerk at YORK CARRIAGEWORKS. in 1970.
