Neville
Yeh it's me again but don't worry I'll soon be out of here for six weeks in merry England away from my photos and modelling. Here are some buildings I have built over the years I am only an average modeller not a detail freak and haven't a artistic bone in my body so if I can build something others could do better. Fabrication Shop 3mm styrene covered with Wills asbestos sheets. Engine house same materials as above Cement unloader (Cement Hoppers)
Neville
Here is a freight house with 12mm wood walls and DPM inserts. But first the temp that day in the garage. (that was this year) Then S Brooklyn freight house S Brooklyn Produce freight house Small power house Small military workshop And a kitbashed Heljan engine house one road in, the rest a workshop (this building is going on a future portable layout part of the roof comes off to show a fully detailed workshop) That just about does it for me for a while hope I haven't gone to far, didn't mean to just happened. I have a compulsive disorder that when I start something I go a bit crazy for a while, sometimes I work all night till the missus brings me back to earth and straightens me out. Take care. Nev. peter220950
Very nice, Can I ask how you attach the cladding sheets to large areas of styrene (i.e. what glue?) and do you clad both sides to equalise the stresses and strains of thermal movement? - It's obviously quite stable, even in high temperatures! Neville
Well it,s quite warm in London at the moment. The cladding is just glued with any kind of styrene glue faller is a good brand and I only glue one side never had a problem yet I do use a lot of glue take the dispenser tube off and almost paint it on. I think I don,t get any warping is because I use 2-3 mm thick sheet. Using a ipad at the moment plenty mistakes. Neville now in London uk.
