Guest 40-something
Hi All Are different Gaugemaster handsets compatible with each other? ie Would the handset that Dapol offer in their DCC trainsets work ok as a 2nd handset on a Prodigy Advance? 66C
In a word - No Sorry This appears to contradict the information available on the Gaugemaster website. Have a look at: http://www.gaugemaster.com/item_details.asp?code=DCC01&style=&strType=&Mcode=Gaugemaster+DCC01 This seems to indicate that the DCC01 is compatible with Prodigy Advance. Regards. RMweb Premium Izzy Posted October 24, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 24, 2014 In a word - No Sorry Sorry, that's not correct. In the Dapol DCC train set N diesel 2 - the current DCC set - the DCC controller is a Gaugemaster Prodigy Express. The handset is more basic than the PA2 it's true, there is no ability to control accessories, but it will work fine with a PA2 system as a basic loco controller, just as it does with the Express system. Ron Ron Ron
In a word - No Sorry As the other guys have just said, that appears to be incorrect Brian. The MRC web site has details. The Express2 handset can be used with an Advanced2 system and an Advanced2 handset can be used with an Express2 system. Both systems can have the Advanced wireless upgrade. In the Dapol DCC train set N diesel 2 - the current DCC set - the DCC controller is a Gaugemaster Prodigy Express...... It's actually the newer Prodigy Express2 (squared). . Brian
Oh...Sorry. I seem to have got myself confused! Dapol have indeed used a GM Prodigy Express in their set! For some reason I was thinking of Bachmann which includes their EZ Command in their set which of course is not compatible.
