david.hill64
I am building a 7mm A4 from a Martin Finney kit. The kit includes the vacuum reservoir that sits at the rear of the tender. The casting has an indent which would appear to be for the connecting pipe, but the drawings do not show which side of the loco this is or the route of the vacuum pipe. Does anybody know which side the pipe was connected and its routing to the loco? Thank you. David

David As far as I can make out on my OPC copy of the streamlined corridor tender GA, there's a candidate smaller pipe run almost coincident with the train pipe in plan view, on the left hand side of the tender underframe. It doesn't help that it's drawn as a half-plan, so the right hand side shows superstructure details and omits any underframe details for clarity. Most of these will be symmetrical of course, piping being an unfortunate exception! HTH The Nim.
