The attached picture shows the result of some revisions to the building shapes and sizes for the back of the quay.

 

I have also discovered a source of laser cut card brick sheets, which are to 1:87 and for Dutch brick sizes. The same outfit also does roofing tiles the match.

This will save a lot of time in scoring up all the very small brickwork.

 

The general arrangement looks better, with a more even spread of buildings along the whole layout, although more buildings will have to be removed from the layout for transit as they are now a little taller. This is not too much of a problem as the roofs of the two large ranges of buildings tessellate in the box I formerly used for transporting the rolling stock for St Juliot. So they will have somewhere save to travel.
