Adrian Wintle
A Quebec, North Shore, and Labrador (QNSL)Â train derailed Thursday morning, with 2 locos going in the river. The engineer is missing. The cause appears to be a landslide. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/engineer-missing-after-quebec-freight-train-derails-in-landslide-1.2825969 http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/enrick-gagnon-identified-as-missing-engineer-in-quebec-train-derailment-1.2827409 Â Adrian

Adrian Wintle
The odds aren't good for the engineer  No, not if he is still missing a day after the accident and with recovery and environmental response personnel on scene. I'm assuming the loco that is still on shore is the trailing (unmanned) one. The water would not be the warmest (a few degrees above freezing).  Adrian
Gerald Henriksen
The engineers body has been found -Â http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/sept-%C3%AEles-train-derailment-divers-find-body-of-engineer-enrick-gagnon-1.2828752 Â Story also mentions that normally the freight train isn't the first train of the day but instead a passenger train is.
