Nick North Eastern
All, i am a modeller returned to the hobby, and have decided to build a small "test piece" before embarking on something bigger. Based around the North Eastern Region in the 1950/1960's (on the Newcastle Sunderland Line around Pontop Crossing and East Boldon), I have started to put together trains that represent the type of traffic that could be seen, including the obligatory coal hoppers and diverted ECML Expresses. I have recently bought 4 of the Farish Mk 1 Pullmans and cannot work out what the turned brass "pins" that are enclosed are for. I wondered if they are light fittings, but cannot find any photographs to corroborate this. Can anyone help?
