BritishModelRail
Hello, I have a Roco DB Br (art. no. 143 63559) and the directional lighting is not working correctly as the red lights are on when moving forward with white lights on the rear and vice versa. There is a DCC blanking plate fitted and I have rotated it but nothing happens and changed it so its nothing to do with it, I have no idea what is wrong. The chassis and body seem to connect and the lights do not work with no body fitted and I believe it could be something to do with the body-chassis connection. I have uploaded some photos, any help greatly appreciated . P.s. the bare wire is where an inductor blew but has been replaced. The lighting was wrong before and after the blow.https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=642C79F5D39BA6E8!105&authkey=!ABoyqg8H04CAGB8&ithint=folder%2cjpg https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=642C79F5D39BA6E8!15182&authkey=!AI2WQhlbKuwwyV0&v=3&ithint=photo%2cjpg Sorry, files were too big . RMweb Premium newbryford Posted December 4, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 4, 2014 Rotating the blanking plate will not reverse the loco. It almost sounds like the motor has been rewired (as you say, inductor replaced). Have the motor leads been swapped along the way? Cheers, Mick
DCB
Will the body fit the other way round? Just a thought.
BritishModelRail
The body does fit the other way around but it doesn't help. The motor can be rotated can be flipped around but it doesn't really fit. I'll have to have a go again. Out of interest I I had a dcc decoder and changed the cv value by one would the lights work correctly then? Thanks for the help so far .

However - back to the original setup - non-DCC. Swap the two feed wires to the motor from the pcb. That will reverse the motor, but not the lights. So they should now work correctly on straight DC Cheers, Mick
BritishModelRail
Thanks, I'll have a go at it later. The problem is the pcb is connected to the motor by prongs not wires so I will try and flip the motor over . Thanks, Jethro.

I had done this before but lost track of the rotating so it was just in the same position agian haha so this time I put a dot on it Thanks again, Jethro
