Bet there were also a few scratched heads as well, we're not used to slam door stock in Manchester anymore - we only have whizzy Star Trek sliding doors round here normally.

142's less whizz more creak and groan! Meanwhile internal sources are suggesting more to come.

I am surprised no-one has tried to rebuild a DVT with some seats and get some revenue out of a big empty box.

There are compliance issues with this proposal, due to the location of the impact zones

However, Porterbrook have a proposal to perform this on a limited basis, if any TOC is prepared to make a large enough order (hint : ScotRail)
