Trade Member Strathwood Posted December 29, 2014 Trade Member Share Posted December 29, 2014 As 2014 drew to a close we managed to get this latest title into stock and away in time for Christmas, overcoming the many production problems we have endured this year with both binders and printers. So many thanks to those loyal customers who have been patient throughout these problems. We can announce that we have engaged three new sources of printers and binders for our range of books going forward, this should overcome similar delays for the future. For those titles delayed due to the production difficulties across 2014, these will now begin to appear during the first and second quarters of 2015, alongside several new series of albums drawing on some truly huge and important collections of photographs from 1948 into the 1970s. The selection of images for these new albums will reflect as much of our once beloved railway infrastructure as possible, alongside the locomotives and rolling stock. As such they will be treasure trove for modellers both active and of the armchair variety as the first few have been a delight to edit. Full details will be published on our website on 1st February 2015 at the conclusion of our New Year Sale to help make room for these new titles. Meanwhile the latest title in the Looking back at series on AC Electric Locomotives has been well received by those who have been kind with their comments not only elsewhere on this forum, but also by email, Royal Mail and over the telephone direct to us in Inverness. Once again many thanks to all of those who have helped support the railway publishing business throughout 2014. Trade Member Strathwood Posted February 1, 2015 Author Trade Member Share Posted February 1, 2015 Have just updated our website to show the titles that are now getting low in stock after a recent stock take, as I know there are many who came to our range of books late and are now seeking copies of Southern Steam Days Remembered, Seventies Spotting Days around the Western Region, Seventies Spotting Days around the London Midland Region, Seventies Spotting Days around the Eastern Region, Seventies Spotting Days around the Southern Region and Looking back at Sulzer Locomotives. These have certainly all gone with no stray copies showing up at all during the recent clearout from our old warehouse facility with everything now consolidated in the one warehouse. So you have been warned where stocks are getting low on a number of both our older titles which had much larger print runs, and a number of recent titles with much lower print runs. We have also engaged two new printers for a large range of new books and to catch up with titles that were set for 2014, however due to difficulties with our old printers and binders meant it was time for a change, also to keep our prices the same. For fans of both steam and modern traction we have a large range of books on their way, full details will be released next month. Kevin
Trade Member Strathwood Posted February 6, 2015 Author Trade Member Share Posted February 6, 2015 Good luck to all those exhibiting at Doncaster this weekend. After attending with our sales stand for for the last ten years at both Doncaster and Harrogate I am sad we will not be there this year. But the extra costs and the logistics of attending shows from Inverness means we have decided to drop off the exhibition circuit, therefore leaving the way clear for other retailers with our range of books. In case of any problems getting the titles you want at this or any other shows, just give us a call or visit our website and we will be happy to help you out. Good luck everyone at Doncaster this weekend. Kevin
