Airfix have recently brought out a 'Higgins Boat', one of the smallest types of landing craft, which might also be of use for a work boat. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted January 3, 2015 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted January 3, 2015 Few if any of the Higgins boats were used commercially, they were very lightly built, however the LCT also made by Airfix was used. One, with a much rebuilt superstructure was used in the Solent for many years and another was actually used to deliver Double Deck buses to the Isle of Bute.
