RSS Fetcher
... And now I have found some 'take-out' pictures of the barge. In the haste to get everything up and showing, as well as actually doing some modelling, I realised when I had stuck the deck on the barge I had not taken a good picture of the internal structure so these are rather fuzzy shots from much bigger pictures of the display. The concept was based on David Dornom's model of a Thames lighter, for which he kindly provided a drawing. This has been modified at the bow and stern to give a more European look and introduce a small wheelhouse. I suspect it will be joined by several other similar craft later in the development of Coevoordsekade. The pictures are self-explanatory with the materials mostly coming from the scrap box. There will be further laminations of paper and card to make the final outer surfaces. The 'keel' is cut from a strip of balsa wood and glued to a mounting card 'bottom'.
