k-59
I'm disappointed that the NH coach is only in HO so far. Hopefully, a N-scale version and matching dinners, sleepers, observations, etc will not be far behind.
Gerald Henriksen
I'm disappointed that the NH coach is only in HO so far. Hopefully, a N-scale version and matching dinners, sleepers, observations, etc will not be far behind. 1) I would assume an N scale version would depend on how many are sold in HO, and how the Osgood-Bradley cars sell in N - http://rapidotrains.com/ob_n.html (in other words, how much demand is there in N for NH products). 2) If the HO passenger cars sell well enough the parlors become a possibility, and if they really sell well the diners and combines become possible in HO. The newsletter is skeptical about the observation cars given there were only 2 prototype cars, which means a very limited market.

torikoos
OK, I know Jason Shron does frequent RMWeb every now and then, so here's the start of my lobby, Southern Pacific RDC SP10 please! :-) ... pretty please? ... I would order by the dozen as Jason requests, but since SP only had one , I will only order one, but there's probably enough like minded people that want one of these too.. at least 13 I'd think. :-)

Talltim
More MBTA possibilities. Come on Jason, do the liveries! Mike. I wasn't interested until you said that. Am I right in thinking that were also converted to hauled stock later?

There you may have the advantage of me, I'm not that up on the ins and outs of the stock and it's history, maybe someone will be along presently? Mike. RMweb Gold Enterprisingwestern Posted January 30, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 30, 2015 Mike, if there is the demand, rest assured that Jason WILL offer the liveries, including MBTA. Oh , I don't do American, but have a weakness for Boston area railways as that's the only bit of the USA I've visited. Still, there's always Parthia227's layout to run them on! Mike. I wonder if they will do dummy ones? Off-topic, but Dick Leonhardt must have have taken many tens of thousands of photos in his life time. His Flickr stream has 25 000, many family ones, but lots of rail and ones from his time in the Navy too. highpeak
The thread on the RDCs prompted me to take a look through my old slide collection and I was struck by how well Rapido's recent choices fit in to at least the Northeastern US, and how long-lived some of the engines were. New Haven and successor company modelers have done especially well here, there's a good start to modeling both MBTA and Metro North territory. It's not all done for you though, those shiny Amtrak engines weathered fairly quickly. There's quite a few miles on this engine at route 128 in the summer of 1980:
