hoovered
Hi all, I have moved this from the Hornby section to here. I have a problem with one of my class 50's, when travelling forwards, the white light comes on but the red lights flicker on and off and at the rear the red light stays on and the white light flickers, If the loco changes direction, the same thing happens. Any ideas ? Roger.
GD
Some of my Bachmann 47's do this when the wheels or track are dirty, worth a try maybe??

smokebox
Check that the wires that connect to the PCB are held firmly by the small black plastic covers (assuming that's how it's wired). Some people prefer to solder them to be sure of a good connection.
totonlover
I know some of the super detail Hornby loco's have what looks like half a plastic tubular lollipop stick under the contacts on the chassis side! check its in place if fitted & that the contacts on getting a good connection, if its had the shell off in the past it can take numerous attempt to get all the lights working properly again front back red/white, I've known about a dozen attempts on a class 31!!!!
