Monjac
Almost every month Dapol produced one , two and sometimes many more commissioned 00 limited edition wagons . They were always shown on their webpage each time there was a new release. I collect salt and lime wagons and wagons within an 50 mile radius of Oswestry and their webpage was the principal source off identifying new releases so that I could action a purchase.,. Lately this production seems to have almost dried up . I say this because wagons are not appearing on the Dapol web page. Am I correct in assuming that Dapol are now focussing more on N gauge or is it a case that only a few are prepared to commission wagons. Or is it at worst that wagons are still being commissioned but Dapol are not listing them on their web page. Please could somebody update me . royaloak
The manufacturing costs in China have gone up immensely over the last few years and by the time you add in all the additional costs (design, transport etc) there really isnt enough margin to make a realistic profit unless they try and charge a hefty premium but then they run the risk of the wagons sitting unsold in the stockroom. Far too much risk with no guarantee of a return. Please ignore because this is wrong!
Mike at C&M
The layout of the page seems to have changed. The models are indexed by who has commissioned the model, rather than what ones have come out most recently. Our latest commission, from October 2014, is definitely there. RMweb Gold papagolfjuliet Posted February 12, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 12, 2015 There are still plenty of current Dapol O and OO models being commissioned by Wessex Wagons.

There's limited amounts of decoration which can be achieved with the machines there hence no printing on the chassis.
Monjac
Following the reply by 87029 , in future I will check the webpage by Commissions .. It is a long winded way of finding out about any new releases. Please, Dapol, if you read this ,revert back to your practice of listing new releases in the News section.
