w124bob
A few photos of the road past the grocery store and my attempt to hide the exit, almost non of the vegetation is fixed and some more taller trees will be added in the very corner along with some(photoshop) hedge . The grey house is from City Classics cut down to about 1inch deep and part leftovers of the kit then used for the single storey extension.
Supaned
I'd say that works nicely Bob
w124bob
All I have to do now is fix everything down, even the backscene is held up with clothes pegs! My computer sits next to this corner which is why it always features in photos. I crop and resize the photos but the colours are left untouched (except the 2 recent steam era) I do have a problem with red though. Another C420 arrived recently which happens to be another Iowa Interstate red livery.I notice that Atlas have announced  another run including a much wanted Lehigh and Hudson River rerun plus high hood NW versions  looks like the credit card is going to take a bashing! 298
I'm sure that during a discussion a while ago, it was agreed that all rusty Trident Chevvy Pickups ought to be equipped with a big whippy aerial. That is all...
davknigh
A trick related to the "bus on a bridge" gambit. If you have the mini-van facing out towards the viewer it will tend to draw the eye away from the 'exit'. Apart from that, very convincing. Oh, BTW, is there a gun rack in the back window of your pickup?   Cheers,  David
w124bob
No gun rack yet, but whippey ariel and a suitably large dog on a chain will appear soon, could do some Duff beer cans in the back as well !
CVSNE
Um, if the minivan is supposed to be driving down the road... looks like he's more on the wrong side of the road than the right (correct) one...

Adrian Wintle
It's not a very wide road... Â Here is a prototype: https://maps.google.ca/maps?hl=en&ll=43.90673,-78.498057&spn=0.000004,0.002401&t=m&z=19&layer=c&cbll=43.906625,-78.497992&panoid=7RiczJ33KKT11epW6aEB4g&cbp=12,327.67,,0,10.46 Â That is the CP main line. Behind us is the double-track CN main line. Â Adrian
sulzer27jd
I would suggest taking the van away altogether. I'm not a huge fan of the suspended animation of static vehicles posed in driving positions. I don't think the scene needs it. Just my humble opinion.
