scruffydog97
Please can somebody advise how to programme a Heljan turntable to a Rail Master programme. I have managed the simple things like programing engines, programming 40 points and getting the turntable to work independently with the Heljan control, but I Have hit a brick wall trying to programme the turntable to the Rail Master programme. A schematic diagram would be great and "idiot proof " instructions.
Pete22
Hi Scruffydog97. I have one of these turntables, but so far I only operate it via the buttons on the supplied control pad - seems to work well. I will probably try to operate it through Railmaster one of these days, so let us know how you get on with working out the DCC stuff. I previously found this article over on the Hornby site which may be of some help.. http://www.Hornby.com/forum/Heljan-89121-turntable/ Hope the link works ! Peter... scruffydog97
Peter Thanks for the information. I followed the link and an article by papajulietdelta which has helped me get the turntable working via my Railmaster programme. It was so simple you would think that railmaster would include it in there manual. A happy Scruffydog
Pete22
Hi Scruffydog97, Glad the link worked and that you found an answer that works ! I have not yet had time to try out my Heljan turntable with Rail Master, or to read the posts in depth on the Hornby site. Last time that I did look, I took cold feet...especially as I am useless at understanding how to program DCC. Maybe when I get some time to try it, you could tell me (in plain talk) how to get it working ? In the meantime, I'm building an Alan Gibson semaphore signal, which I want to automate using servos and an ESU Switchpilot Servo decoder via Hornby Railmaster / Elite...........I'm sure it can be done but think it will be very difficult.. All the best. P.
