RMweb Gold Andy7 Posted February 26, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 26, 2015 Can someone point me in the best direction to get some paint for 37501 in British a Steel Blue. Do Phoenix or railmatch make the light sky blue colour? Any help much appreciated as I can't seem to find the info myself.

RMweb Gold russ p Posted February 26, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 26, 2015 Just be careful it isn't for the class 60 version of the livery as that was darker. Also work from photos as 501s livery changed a lot in the time it was blue. For a while it was BSC blue but had a rail blue solebar stripe on one side and a water pipe blue stripe on the other! The reason being that although the water pipe blue looked best with the BSC blue, there was only enough to do one side so the other got rail blue. Think this was the same time as it got tees rail lettering
Arthur
This is Precision BSC blue applied to a couple of lorries, I don't know how well it matches that applied to 37501.
