Passing of an era. Leonard Nimoy leaves us.

That is such sad news. The tv episodes of Star Trek were compulsive viewing in the 60s and 70s, and I must have seen the whole series four or five times, most (initially) in black and white.

Still, I suppose that death is logical.

RIP

For some reason this 60s video came back to me when I heard........................ If you like Star Trek, 60s short skirts. and the Lord of the Rings don't hesitate...............

Hmmm, slightly worrying that I imagined the short skirts, but then again I can't remember much about the 60s either, even though I was there.............................

Hi. I would just like to add that Leonard Nimoy played, in Mr. Spock, the first alien on TV that I was not afraid of! I have the Star Trek DVD's, and will see an episode or two over the weekend. RIP.

With sadness,

Market65.

We are assembled here today to pay final respects to our honored dead. And yet it should be noted that in the midst of our sorrow, this death takes place in the shadow of new life, the sunrise of a new world; a world that our beloved comrade gave his life to protect and nourish. He did not feel this sacrifice a vain or empty one, and we will not debate his profound wisdom at these proceedings. Of my friend, I can only say this: of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most... human.

A sad day for fans of Trek. RIP Leonard Nimoy.

Tom.

Hi, everyone. Just a quick word to add that the Funeral is taking place tomorrow, and William Shatner is, apparently, not able to attend owing to a prior commitment.

With regards,

Market65.

Probably counting his money.

Do Vulcanians die?

Or do they just find another dimension in hyperspace?

Certainly an iconic figure

Phil

Did he mind meld with someone before he died, if so listen out for someone wishing to climb the steps of Mount Seleya - his katra can then be reunited with his body by venerable high priestess T'lar by the fal-ton-par ceremony at the altar.  Sadly that is fiction - RIP Leonard
