woodenhead
Noisy seems normal for Dapol but lights not working points to a circuit board issue, you need to take that back to the shop.
bennyboy
In my experience Dapol locos do tend to be a bit noisier than Farish locos.
Mr chapman
Some can be a tad louder. When you say lights not working is that no lights or only one?

sherlock1207
My Dapol 153 and 156 both developed lighting faults very quickly. To be honest, my Farish 158 without lights is less aggravating and runs better. I did contact Dapol ages ago, but they weren't really interested in my woes, so I've abandoned hope. The power pick-ups on my 153 and 156 are "iffy" too, but thats a whole other story. I guess that we should all vote with our wallets - I know that I shall in future, as I don't like being taken for granted.
RMweb Gold McRuss Posted March 3, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 3, 2015 A friend an I have problems with our Class 156 and 153 DMUs from Dapol. My Class 156 was in store for 2 years and I used it during an exhibition last November. There I recognised that the DMU was only picking up current from one bogie. The same happend with the Class 153 from my friend. I cleaned the boggies and wheels and the pickup wipers and the cooper plate at the underside of the chassis, but, there is still only one bogie picking up current. I assume that there is no electrical contact between the two bogies anymore. Markus
