Woodhorn Narrow Gauge Railway

Up and running for the 2015 season is Woodhorn Railway near Ashington.

 

We have been working hard to get Hunslet Jenbach 9353 - RioGen up to passenger standard, and progress is going well, with the last bits of air hoses are due to be fitted this week.

We also have a Schoma Locomotive 5240 - 'Edward Stanton', and a Hunslet 75hp Perkins 6348 - 'Black Diamond'

Just a small update. On Friday we took delivery of three flat wagons from the Bredgar and Wormshill Railway, originally used by the MOD in Eastriggs and then Longtown,

 

After a grease and check over, off down the line they went. Also progressing is 'Rio-Gen'.

We have been working hard over the last two weeks to improve the Museum Halt area utilizing the flat wagons:

One final day tomorrow is required to complete the above siding.

Great to see the progress you making. I haven't visited for a long time despite living only a few miles away. I must make a point of visiting again, perhaps on the Bank Holiday weekend.
