Leemers
Up and running for the 2015 season is Woodhorn Railway near Ashington. We have been working hard to get Hunslet Jenbach 9353 - RioGen up to passenger standard, and progress is going well, with the last bits of air hoses are due to be fitted this week. We also have a Schoma Locomotive 5240 - 'Edward Stanton', and a Hunslet 75hp Perkins 6348 - 'Black Diamond' Andrew
Leemers
Just a small update. On Friday we took delivery of three flat wagons from the Bredgar and Wormshill Railway, originally used by the MOD in Eastriggs and then Longtown, After a grease and check over, off down the line they went. Also progressing is 'Rio-Gen'. Cheers, Andrew
Leemers
The Jenbach is progressing well, but slight delay while we organize the air pipes and hoses for fitting. Quite an interesting photo showing the development of the site from 2012 - 2015:
Leemers
So we finalised our plans to convert one of the wagons into a ballast truck and set about fitting it with sides. This shows the current progress of the wagon, No 4015: Andrew
RMweb Premium ColinK Posted April 24, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 24, 2015 Thanks for posting the info. I wasn't aware of the railway, but if I'm in the area I'll call in and have a ride.
Jongudmund
I saw this when I visited Woodhorn Colliery last week. Didn't realise there was a railway there or that it stopped running at 3.30 so missed out on getting a ride. Never mind.

Leemers
We have been working hard over the last two weeks to improve the Museum Halt area utilizing the flat wagons: Before Ballasting: After: One final day tomorrow is required to complete the above siding. This year is also our 20th anniversary of train services, so we are planning a Gala weekend, showcasing our stock. Alcanman
Great to see the progress you making. I haven't visited for a long time despite living only a few miles away. I must make a point of visiting again, perhaps on the Bank Holiday weekend. Mal
