Graham Walters
I'm having a problem finding GWR loco's to fit my era. I need them with the shirtbutton logo, I have been told it's possible to remove the manufacturers decals and replace them with shirtbutton logo's. I'm having trouble removing the manufacturers logo's so far I have tied Micro set and acetone, both with no effect. Can anyone point me to something that will remove these decals, or are they actually screen prints which have to be erased and over painted ?
SRman
I have had some success with other (non-GWR) models using abrasive track rubbers or ink rubbers. You could also try cotton buds with T-cut or similar cutting polish. There is a risk with all of these of also removing the underlying paint.
Spitfire2865
Ive used Turtlewax polishing compound on a Hornby loco. Took a lot of rubbing but comes off clean. Just will leave the spot glossy so varnish will be needed.
