LNER Articulated Coaches

I may be wrong but I thought all of these twinsets were rebuilt as four/"quadart" sets by the early 1930s so my gut feeling says no.  Some quadarts lasted until 1966 or thereabouts so again its theoretically possible they received blue but I'd get a more knowledgeable person than me to confirm whether they did or not, but again but guts say that this is a what if and last nights curry was a bit spicy.

Hi 40 Something and Boris

The LNER articulated stock was never painted in blue. The twin arts had been withdrawn by the early 60s with the on-set of the DMUs. The quad arts on the GNR suburban services did last to 1966 in small numbers and remained in maroon.

Some early GNR twins were rebuilt into quads but not LNER built coaches.

Seems very odd to build a kit to a high standard and then paint it in a fictious livery. http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/57779-fictitious-liveries-models-not-photoshopped/?p=1363507

Hi Joe

I hope you are managing to cope - John let us know of your problems.

There is information about LNER suburban stock here:

The example on Ebay is OO gauge and as such somewhat overpriced given the incorrect underframes.

Regards.

Regards.

Thanks Bill

Getting there, still in a lot of pain but could have been so much worse!

The set caught my eye, not something Im planning on purchasing but I didnt think they appeared in blue!
