Bon Accord
A friend of mine works for Condor - electronic abuse is rapidly moving in his direction!
RMweb Gold roundhouse Posted March 30, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 30, 2015 However if it grabs people attention on board then it's doing its job so will be interesting how it goes over the next few weeks

Ozexpatriate
Air New Zealand has been doing "fun" safety videos for years.Theirs are more watchable. If you prefer swimsuit models in the Cook Islands, they have that too!
JeremyC
Is this real!! In the Condor ferry video I noticed it didn't tell you what the emergency signal actually was (7 short followed by one blast on the whistle / alarm bells). (Abandon ship is a verbal order.) Horsetan
The worst safety vid ever created was the one involving a certain Captain Schettino and a vessel named the Costa Concordia.
Bon Accord
Is this real!! In the Condor ferry video I noticed it didn't tell you what the emergency signal actually was (7 short followed by one blast on the whistle / alarm bells). (Abandon ship is a verbal order.) It certainly is, played four times a day on the fast cats! I am assured that those in the video are actors and not ships staff, if they were you can just imagine how brutal and merciless the p*** taking would be. Apparently they're a bit miffed it's gone viral.
Platform 6
I'm with Captain Webb on this one. Oh, and why? - in these puritanical times - is it only the ladies who have to ditch the stilletos on the bouncy-castle slide?
RMweb Premium Torper Posted April 1, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 1, 2015 I thought it was good. It'll certainly grab attention far more than most of the boring standard ones and, that, surely, is its main purpose. DT
Bon Accord
I thought it was good. It'll certainly grab attention far more than most of the boring standard ones and, that, surely, is its main purpose. DT That's making the very bold assumption that anyone actually plays attention to the message - we are talking about the general public - and doesn't just watch it for the same reasons someone would watch the likes of "The Office". After one brief watch and the commensurate disgust/mockery/annoyance it will quickly be forgotten and ignored. In The first ship I sailed in which carried passengers, there was one well worn piece of advice dished out to newcomers: "never, EVER, underestimate the stupidity or idiocy of the bloods". (Bloods being the common term for cargo (i.e. passengers) which walked up the gangway, in contrast to the blood-less animal carcasses loaded down below in the refrigerated holds).
