N gauge class 442

I'd like to have a go at modelling a Wessex electric class 442 in N gauge, can anyone point me in the direction of somewho who sells either a conversion kit for MK 3 coaches or just a kit? I want to model a Network Southeast version, I looked at Electra Railway Graphics site which link to Taylor Precision Models but they appear not to make that kit anymore and ERG appear not to do NSE livery. If there isn't anything I will have go at scatch building (I know I have an old model rail article for refrence somewhere even it is OO) but any advice would be greatly apprechiated.

Hi Boco

I would drop Bernard at TPM an email asking if he has any of the components for his kit available as he may not have the full kit but may be able to supply most of the bits.  Fox Transfers do overlay transfers for the NSE 442s to go with the TPM kit.

Alternatively BHE used to do (I don't know if they still do) a white metal and etch kit.

Cheers, Mike

I have a vague memory of an article on an n gauge conversion in Railway Modeller. Would have been quite a few years ago however.

Hi

Model Rail did a conversion using the TPM kit. As has been mentioned it is worth emailing Bernard as he may have the relevant parts. One day I might actually get mine finished.

Cheers

Paul
