Redford73
Forgive my ignorance on what is probably straightforward mathematics but ... I am buying the 3% incline riser set from Woodland Scenics for use on my in progress new layout. Whilst I understand the track length required to allow the transition I need (70mms which will be just short of 8 feet on the basis that the 3% incline reaches 4"s in 12 feet) I am struggling to calculate what gradient I will be creating (i.e. in terms of 1:32, 1:60, 1:100 etc which is how they are usually explained). In short how does the 2%, 3% and 4% Woodland Scenics described gradient equate to the one in ? measurement?
Redford73
Doh what a dummy - of course it is! I feel totally stupid! Can only say I got confused at the proliferance of in-between gradients rather than straightforward 25%, 33%, 50% etc. Thanks.
