HullCityB17
Can someone please provide some information about the former National Power depot build for the Class 59/2's at Ferrybridge? When was it built, is it still in use and what is it used for or if it closed when did it close down. Thanks in advance, John
HullCityB17
I know that EWS took the Depot over at some point and used the shed as a Wagon repair facility which was also used for overhauling shunters as the last locomtives there were canibilised shunters. The Depot had a wheel lathe facility for maintaining the fleet of wagons, and I had been told the depot was still there including the lathe as of a couple of years ago, but I have not heard if it still exists or seen any pictures as it is located within the confines of the Power Station and can only be viewed partially from passing trains or from the big field between the Power Station and the old A1 to Knottingley and other villages to the north.
