Peter Kazmierczak
Just wondering if pre-WW2 RCH maps are now out of any form of copyright? Thanks in anticipation.
RMweb Premium keefer Posted May 27, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 27, 2015 They're on Wikimedia Commons with the statement that the images are copies of original images which are now out of copyright due to the 70 yr rule. I don't think the complete set is there, but it's not far off it - mostly good quality with large sizes available. There's an index of diagrams and also of railway companies. RMweb Premium keefer Posted May 27, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 27, 2015 Here's the link: http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Category:Railways_Junctions_Diagram_1914&mobileaction=toggle_view_desktop&uselang=en-gb After each county entry, eg (3F) is the number of diagrams (frames) available. After each company entry, eg (15C) is the number of companies included, just keep clicking though. The first entries under '0' are numerically ordered lists of diagrams As you select each diagram, various sizes should become available up to 2,861 × 1,890 px (I was on my phone before and the link would have been the version for mobiles)
RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted May 27, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 27, 2015 I understand that both issues are now out of copyright - along with the accompanying lists and text which generally don't seem to be all that commonly available but which are very informative. 34theletterbetweenB&D
I can see myself 'wasting' hours poring over these. It's all the goods access to locations that needed significant loads moving before the road system was fully up to it.

Yes, and the list of running powers which accompanied the full set of maps is very informative in that respect.
