Latest update with some progress on the building side

Updates on the layout seem to be few and far of late, ballasting was mostly done over the last bank holiday and the retaining walls & bridge have all but been completed. The ballasting requires a bit more work to finish but is awaiting any infrastructre and other detail, to be done around the trackwork before finalising.

blogentry-6909-127176395533_thumb.jpg Provender shed, made from plasticard with Ratio corrugated roofing sheet & gutters.

Hello Trevor :)

Its nice to see some progress, please keep the posts comming.

I like the buildings, they all look nice and square and well put together. I do have a question on the provender shed though, what shape are the plinths its sitting on? It just looks a bit weird from that photo.

Hi Missy,

The uprights are hexagonal rod as that is the nearest I could find, although it should be eight sided not six, but since doing then I have found a way around getting them more correct.

When nearly finishing the building I realised the panels on the ends are all 6" to narrow, making the building 4mm too narrowhuh.gif sad.gif
