  1. I used to go to Romford from Brentwood from the mid 70s to 80s to use the music section of the library and use the music shops. This has stirred up lots of memories. Always took a look in Beaties when I was there and have McDonalds for lunch as they were relatively new to the UK then and Brentwood wouldn't have one. Things always felt a bit run down on the railway and then units started being refurbished and stations repainted with the introduction of NSE. Fantastic modelling, another follower. Martyn

  2. Wizard do the old Mainly Trains etch that will enable you to do most of the DCII brake gear. Bill Bedford does DCIII brakes but unfortunately his DCI etches are no longer available.

  3. Yes, that's me in my Clarks College uniform! Absolutely brilliant, can't thank you enough! And above me, a poster for the very shop where I purchased my first 45rpm single with my pocket money! Downtown Records, who also had a branch in my hometown of Brentwood. Superb modelling - you have the barrows, railings and circular windows spot on. Even the light cream tiling in the stairwell. I just can't believe it! With your permission I will download your image to save on my laptop please. I would love to see the model "in the flesh" sometime. Will you be taking it on the exhibition circuit - hopefully if they return in 2021? Thanks again - it has really transported me back! Vivian

  5. All very nice - I particularly like the art deco "biro" lights... might borrow that idea as I'm working on a late 1920s building for Swan Hill! Kit PW https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/blogs/blog/2502-swan-hill/
