  1. Spot on, Tony. As I've said before, there is a world of difference between running a layout and operating it.
  2. No, but knowing that the C77 has a fictitious number might be...
  3. Yes. If you look into this using templates or real points, you'll see that if the crossing gaps coincide there is no checking function so wheels can go either way.
  4. My memories of Jaguars are from the early 1980s. They made an excellent 0800 alarm call when we were moored in Shepherd's Marina, Gibraltar...
  5. Is that much the same as Section Clear but Station or Junction Blocked (3-5-5) on other railways?
  6. Yes. Tri-ang axles were 5/32" (or possibly 9/64" - see @jimwal's comment below) diameter. You could (can?) get bushes to fit 1/8" axles.

  8. Nice. Very Iain Rice-ish, if I may say so.
  9. Tut tut, I thought you were old enough to know better.
  10. Check whether Stuart Barnes is available.
  11. In that case, I hope you'll be able to pick up a pint pot! Good luck.
  12. Yes! Memory fade 50 years on! Thanks for the correction. At least I got the George part right - not Dirty Daniel's or Mucky Mary's. St George's School is another story altogether...
