  1. Luke thanks for supportive comments. Pictures from other layouts and magazines have helped me choose the colours.
  2. Hi thank you for all the likes and support๐Ÿ˜€. I'm very pleased with the way the brick wall and corrugated workshop wall has turned out. Once I add some ballast I can give the surrounding area a dust over with some weathering powders from Ammo. Here is an update picture.๐Ÿ‘
  3. This evening I have started to weather the corrugated workshop wall. I'm very pleased with the way it is looking as it's starting to come to life.๐Ÿ˜Š
  4. Clive the canal looks great ๐Ÿ‘
  5. Hi the paints and weathering powders finally arrived today. So the first task was to paint up the corrugated iron sheets and the brick wall with their main base colour. Once fully dry I can start to lighten the corrugated iron wall using weathering powders and some dry brushing. The wall will need a light wash so the capillary action moves it between the brickwork. Also some fine detailing will be done by picking out random brick and painting them a different shade.๐Ÿ˜Š
  6. As mentioned in my last update I'm waiting on some paints and pigments to arrive. So today work has concentrated on modelling the scenic part of the diorama. Really pleased with the way the diorama is looking. So I thought I would pop one of my Bachmann BR 12ton vanwide van onto the diorama.๐Ÿ˜Š
  7. Hi all just a little update. While I wait for some paints and weathering pigments to arrives for the corrugated building I will hopefully start work modelling the scenic section on my van diorama. That's after I finish some chores around the house first.๐Ÿซ
  8. Luke I agree the low angled shots work really well ๐Ÿ‘Œ
  9. Hi I have filled in the join in the brick wall. Once it's painted and weathered you won't know a join was there. Also the wills corrugated iron sheets have been added. These will also be painted and weathered up. All in all it's coming along nicely.๐Ÿ˜€
  10. Morning I managed to do a bit more modelling work on the diorama yesterday. The brick walk which goes under the corrugated iron has been glued in place. The small join will be hidden using a small mixture of filler. The wall will then be painted and weathered up. The track has also had a coat of paint on the rails, ties and sleepers and has been glued in its place. More weathering will be done once the ballast has been layed.๐Ÿ˜€
  11. This morning I have added some more board so the track is on an embankment. I have added a balsa frame to the back of the diorama as this will be cladded with corrugated iron sheets and under the frame a brick wall will be added. This was seen alot with warehouse and factory buildings.๐Ÿ˜€ The track is just put in place to show where it will eventually go. The track rails, ties and sleepers will be painted before it's glued in place.
  12. Karl this is a super little layout you have built. The night shots look great ๐Ÿ‘
  13. Matt it's always nice to follow your excellent level of weathering and detailing. It definitely inspires people like myself.๐Ÿ‘
  14. Love the video John thanks for sharing ๐Ÿ‘
