Traeth Mawr -Building Mr Price's house , (mostly)

I was thinking of the station. This sort of thing: 🙂 Anyway, the blog sounds good, I hope that will appear some day! -

It strikes me that life in and around Traeth Mawr would make excellent reality TV, and the first of its kind that I'd actually want to watch. Though I am not sure the contractor would approve 🙂 -

Yes, better! For some reason I remembered Lennon as saying that that there was a connection between their song and W.C. Fields, but searching now it seems not. -
Carlisle Citadel in Late Victorian Times

They look excellent. The moustache always makes a big difference and helps established the period so well. 5 modelling sessions was well worth it, I think. Just another 50 for the passengers now 🙂 -
GWR 3 plank wagons appreciation thread

Which one is that please, Stephen? Quiite a lightfooted look, but presumably that's the angle. -
A classic modelling situation. You start off thinking "here's a nice readymade item that will give me a quick result", but before you know it you're deep into conversions and new builds!

Norway poles
Mikkel commented on magmouse's blog entry in Netherport - GWR 1908 7mm (mostly wagons for now!)
They are excellent. Well worth the patient waiting. And two christmases embodied in a model, a nice thought. It's a good example of how "zooming in" can create results that are just as satisfying and impressive as "big-picture" modelling. BTW there's a Beatles theme in the blog posts this weekend - the Strawberry line and Norwegian wood 🙂 -

Wonderful. Nice to see trains on the layout, they blend in well. I do like the roads. A vehicle would suit them, perhaps belonging to the local company W.C. Fields? 🙂 -
Stubby47's buildings and other modelling

Best looking worst looking structure I've seen for a while. It's thought-provoking to compare it with your earlier build of the same house. I assume it's for someone who has restored the house, what a nice idea. -
From my "Trains worth modelling" folder. With apologies to Churchward 🙂 Pembroke & Tenby line. Source: Embedded link from Pembroke & Monkton Local History Society.

Wonderful coaches. It must be very challenging to do dark lining on a light base - very unforgiving.

I was thinking the same. I can imagine it's a pleasant exercise until it all has to be written up!

GWR 3 plank wagons appreciation thread

Here's one of the best photos I know of GWR corduroy. And some familar stock. This is alledgedly 1905. But no 3-plankers in that shot, so here is one to compensate. -
Impeccable taste!
