A few days holiday recently in Prague provided an opportunity for a quick look at Czech Railways (Ceské dráhy) and the city's main railway station (Praha hlavní nádraží).

I hope the following photographs will be of interest.

A close cousin of the Pendolinos operating on the West Coast, here is the Czech Railways equivalent.

Whilst Prague's main railway station has the usual complement of retail outlets in a typical subterranean setting, once up at platform level there was evidence of the architecture of the original entrance to the station, which appears to be well preserved.

Unfortunately I didn't have time to try out any Czech Railway services, although I'll pencil that in for a future visit.

I also took a few photographs of Prague's street trams which I'll post as a new topic on the trams and tramway modelling section of the forum - available here;

Edited to add link to tram photographs.
