RMweb Gold 4630 Posted August 24, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 24, 2015 A few days holiday recently in Prague provided an opportunity for a quick look at Czech Railways (Ceské dráhy) and the city's main railway station (Praha hlavní nádraží). I hope the following photographs will be of interest. A close cousin of the Pendolinos operating on the West Coast, here is the Czech Railways equivalent. Whilst Prague's main railway station has the usual complement of retail outlets in a typical subterranean setting, once up at platform level there was evidence of the architecture of the original entrance to the station, which appears to be well preserved. Unfortunately I didn't have time to try out any Czech Railway services, although I'll pencil that in for a future visit. I also took a few photographs of Prague's street trams which I'll post as a new topic on the trams and tramway modelling section of the forum - available here; http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/102394-a-few-photographs-of-prague-trams-dopravn%C3%AD-podnik-hlavn%C3%ADho-města-prahy-as/ Edited to add link to tram photographs.
