Willington (Bedfordshire) LMS in EM
I've been slowly working away on this project for a little while now, with slowly being the operative word, so I thought I'd start to document it here, partly because I think it's an interesting little project, and partly so you guys can give me a kick up the backside when I get lazy.
What I want to do with this layout is to create what I think is a reasonably accurate version of a prototype that doesn't exist any longer, and experiment with some construction techniques in the process.
Everybody needs a D299 on their layout (Compound2632 has a long running thread on the topic!), and when I bought the Slater's fruit van, I picked up Slater's D299 at the same time (bit of nostalgia: the Slater's D299 was the very first wagon kit I built- this one will be the third, and each one is unique).
