Nearholmer
A nice poster! Details of bus transport from MK Central station to the venue will follow, or, for those who like to walk, it is about half an hour from Wolverton station, along a very good, paved, foot and cycle path using the trackbed of the old Newport Pagnell branch. (For those who read small print, MK is not, and never has been, in Bedfordshire! It used to be in Bucks, and is now a county in itself) Edited May 17, 2017 by Nearholmer

Nearholmer
Two weeks to go ....... If anyone needs more detailed advice on travel by public transport, please PM me, but basic details are: - minicab from Central Milton Keynes station costs about £6, and takes ten minutes. A good reliable minicab company is Raffles on 01908 22222. If you tell them your train arrival time, they will have a car waiting for you; - black cab from the station will be about twice the cost, but there are usually plenty waiting; - if you fancy a walk, it takes about 45 minutes from Central Milton Keynes station, or 40 minutes from Wolverton, the latter being a much more interesting walk, along canal towpath and the cycleway on the old Newport Pagnell Branch. - bus from Central Milton Keynes station, No.18 from stop Z5, 42 minutes past each hour, taking about ten minutes. You really need your wits about you to know where to alight, though, because it isn't very obvious! Return is 05 minutes past each hour, but again the bus stop takes a bit of finding. RMweb Premium jjb1970 Posted July 15, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 15, 2017 Unfortunately I didn't make it until quite late on but it was a most enjoyable show. I find it rather refreshing to see others who just enjoy playing with and collecting toy trains and who don't lose their joy for playing trains in a quest for a perfection they're probably never going to find. There was a lot of O gauge coarse scale/tin plate for sale, they really are charming toys/models and some of them are surprisingly accurate and wouldn't look especially out of place on a "serious" layout. The Seven Mills models are very nicely done, it is a little odd that this particular subset of the model railway hobby seems to be all but ignored by the magazines.
