I tend to agree. I hope I am not part of the chaff, as I have tried to look at features that seem to be found on a number of companies' coaches, so would be more typical for the purposes of a generic product.
The panelling style is an interesting point. My perception is that Stroudley's early 1870s 4-wheelers were very modern for their time, and with that panelling style, must have looked it. If you compare them with coaches in service and built by other lines around this time (18
