Recent forum developments have been discussed in this topic and we would be interested to find out a little more about how you use the site.

Having considered the results shown above over the first 24 hours I have made the following changes:

 

A substantially larger number dislike the 'Similar topics' facility at the bottom of the pages - this has been removed to reduce queries against the database.

A substantially larger number dislike the 'Similar topics whilst posting' facility - this has been removed to reduce one step in the posting process.

A substantially larger number dislike the 'Topic wall' facility - this has been removed

 

One thing which will not be changed is the 'Marketplace info box in sidebar' as I am keen to support the Marketplace as a viable contributor towards running costs. If it offends you that much there's a minus button to the top right of the box which minimises it.

Groups will remain but there is a forthcoming improvement so all content will be shown in View New Content.
