Mac
The latest Railway Modeller doesn't appear to mention Falkirk on their Events/Shows List. I believe it falls on the 26/27th Nov. Is there a problem; or will it be mentioned in the next months (out on 10th Nov) RM ? Mac.
RMweb Gold Scottish Modeller Posted October 21, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 21, 2011 Hi Mac, Don't know why it's not in RM... It is on the RMWeb calender here and it's a go ahead! No problems that I am aware of....
Jamie
This would possibly have been better posted under Exhibitions forum? Just so the appropriate people can see it, Railways of Scotland is a bit off the beaten track.

Mac
Hi Mac, Don't know why it's not in RM... It is on the RMWeb calender here and it's a go ahead! No problems that I am aware of.... Thanks Phil. I expect you're right about there being no problems. The Falkirk MRC website still has it scheduled for Nov. I must have a look in next months RM to see if it's included. Certainly looking forward to visiting; especially after last years problem with the snow. Mac.
Mac
Had a look in the December Railway Modeller but still no listing/ mention of the show. Decided to cancel my visit as I need all the money I can scrape together for the Wigan Show (Dec 10th). Maybe next year. Mac.

scotcent
Could I gently point out that "Blackstone Junction" is in fact P4. And very nice it is too! Allan F
26power
Grangemouth "OO" Falkirk MRC. First outing, I assume? Recall a bit of a display about it a couple of years ago. Should be interesting. Cheers, 26power
G-Mac
Grangemouth was presented as a diorama a few years back at the Falkirk show. It now is 28 ft in length and with around 50 sets of points. This will be its first outing as an operational layout. Now changed to P4 above. Cheers, Greig
26power
Thanks Greig, that'll be what I recall seeing. Given the scale of the railways at Grangemouth (from occasional articles/pictures in Steam Days etc.) it should be impressive. Seem to recall that it majored in timber import? Hope you get a lot of locals along to see it! Cheers, 26power Grangemouth was presented as a diorama a few years back at the Falkirk show. It now is 28 ft in length and with around 50 sets of points.
