GoingUnderground Posted March 1, 2012 Share Posted March 1, 2012 If any of you tried to get on to the ESU web site earlier today, Thursday 1 Mar, you will have seen that it was down for "Maintenance". ESU have now announced that their web site was hacked late yesterday evening. They are advising anyone who accessed their site between 22.00 GMT yesterday (29 Feb '12) and 13.45 GMT today (1 Mar '12) to scan their computer for viruses and trojans. Apparently none of the private data of users was accessed during the hack, and ESU say they have rectified the security loophole. It seems the hacker planted a redirection that took you to a web site with the Downloader.JS.IFrame.ctw Trojan, at least that's what my anti-virus tells me it was called. The site is back up again.
